About Spider Solitaire

Play Spider Solitaire free in your browser. Build eight complete suits. No download or sign-up required.

How to play Spider Solitaire

  1. Build down in sequence. Place a card or a descending sequence on a card one rank higher. This gentle version uses only spades. Any card or sequence can fill an empty column.
  2. Complete a full suit. A face-up sequence from king down to ace is removed automatically. Clear all eight sequences to win.
  3. Deal a new row. The stock adds one face-up card to every column. Fill every empty column before dealing. There are five stock rows.
  4. Try another way. Undo restores moves, completed sequences, and stock deals. Random deals are not guaranteed to be solvable.

A familiar game, a quick refresher.

  1. Build the four foundations. Place aces in the top-right spaces, then build up to kings in the same suit.
  2. Alternate colors on the table. Place a red 6 on a black 7, for example. You can move an entire face-up sequence.
  3. Make room for kings. Only a king, or a sequence starting with one, can move to an empty column.
  4. Turn over a new card. Click the face-down deck. When it runs out, click again to recycle. You can go through it as often as you like.

Keyboard: Tab to a card and press Enter to select it. Tab to the destination and press Enter again. Escape clears your selection. You can also drag cards.

Deals are random; some cannot be won. Hints suggest legal moves, not a guaranteed solution.
